AW: Where to put patch.exe and such stuff?

From: VooDoo <2VooDoo_at_gmx.de>

Hi again,

I got the patch.exe to work (I missed some dll's - but now I got 'em).
Now I wanted to patch something. I copied a diff (e.g. the
f2screen.diff) in the source root-dir (c:\cygwin\home\rockbox\) - and
tyoed the following:

patch < f2screen.diff

As result I got:

can't find file to patch at input line 3
Perhaps you should have used the -p or --strip option?
The text leading up to this was:
--------------------------
|--- icons-old.c 2003-11-14 20:23:38.427201600 -0800
|+++ icons.c 2003-11-18 17:20:30.421289600 -0800
--------------------------
File to patch:

What does this mean? Should I "run the patch" in the dir of the file
that should get patched?

Thank you
Tom
