Date: Tue, 25 Nov 2003 07:33:37 +0100 I used to have the same problem...I changed the headphones an dit works fine !! But the old (archos) headphones still work on other connectors (like computer...) This is strange but I have to move (turn) the headphones on the archos to get 'normal' stereo with the old and not with the new !! Really strange thing... Stéphane PS : I bought some Panasonic headphones, gray/metal with transparent fix behind the ear (not sure this is clear) and it works fine :-) PS2 : sorry for my "poor" English :) -----Message d'origine----- De : owner-rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se [mailto:owner-rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se] De la part de Scott Bronson Envoyé : samedi 15 novembre 2003 04:05 À : rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se Objet : Re: Possible Loose Ear Out connector On Wed, 2003-11-05 at 06:42, Mike Holden wrote: > Could also be a problem with the in-line volume control. Or, the strain relief where the cord meets the male headphone jack is really bad. You'll recognize the wire separating from the connector from the slight cut-outs that you describe, or from the bass getting scratchy or muddy. Dunno if you've tried this or not, but check with another pair of headphones before blaming the jack! --- Incoming mail is certified Virus Free.
