The battery is still charging, even if Rockbox is running." it's not too important. i suppose it's just a habit if mine to shut down and then unplug it and then have the device auto-poweroff. "It will probably not be implemented at all, since you can do the same with a playlist." that is true as well. i just have my songs organized in folders by artist and album, so i guess my idea would be more convenient for myself. also, im not too good with programming, and i wouldn't know how to utilize a playlist browser. no big deal though. i tend to just listen to everything on random anyway. anywho, keep up the good work -dennis >-- Original Message -- >Date: Fri, 28 Nov 2003 22:15:22 +0100 >From: Linus Nielsen Feltzing <linus_at_haxx.se> >To: rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se >Subject: Re: a couple of questions about ver. 2.1 >Reply-To: rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se > > >Dennis Lui wrote: >> 1. turning the player off when it is plugged into the adapter - when i >> used the original rockbox 2.0, i could turn off the player and set it to >> charging mode when it was plugged into the ac adapter by simply holding >> down the stop button. however, with the most recent daily build, i can >> no longer do so. the device turns off when when i hold down stop when it >> is not plugged in to the adapter, but nothing happens whens i hold down >> stop while it is plugged in. is there a way to change this?? > >Let me ask you a question: > >Why is it so important that the device displays "CHARGING" instead of >the current directory?
