Subject: A suggestion!!!

A suggestion!!!

I used my JBR20 a great deal and have set it up to work at home using it instead of the hi-fi.

The system I have is that the JBR is connected to my home computer via the USB. The sound output is via an AMP and Surround Sound system. The Video output from the computer is display on my Wide Screen TV and I use a bluetooth keyboard (with built in mouse) to create playlists and choose music to play. Now this is an ideal system no more lost CD's or CD cases, plus the advantage I can take my music collection with me when I go to work. I am looking at upgrading the hard drive sometime in the near future - I want at least 80gb then I could store the majority of my music. Oops sorry this is a bit off topic.

Ok the question is that the set-up I have means having the JBR20 switched on a great deal of the time whilst it is plugged into the power adapter. This ensures I get through a great deal of batteries even if trickle charge is switched off and deep discharge on. What I am wondering is there anyway with the Rockbox software of instead of the adapter charging the batteries it could run the JBR20 directly - that way my batteries my last a bit longer and the JBR may not get so hot, especially if I leave it on all weekend!!!

regards

John
