Ah, yes, I went back over the messages to see what was so important about
this new version, and saw that the charging screen was the big issue. So,
I shut off the FMR, then plugged in the charger, and lo and behold, it was
charging, with no disk spinup that I could detect. The battery icon in the
top left corner was showing the charging animation and an empty battery
graphic sits in the lower part in the middle of the screen.

I just read your other reply on how you can't turn on the backlight (no
big deal) nor detect the actual battery level while charging. That's too
bad.

I really appreciate your work on this! It's really great to have the unit
start up so quickly! The only stuff I've ever done that's even close to
this level was waaaaaay back in college EE classes I took - only enough
for a minor, not a degree in EE. :)

The next task for me that I can handle: flashing my own build, cause I
really like the playlist viewer. :)
