This may seem too simple minded, but could this mismatching power demand curve verses available power from the total of the partially charged battery group plus the 600 milliamp wall wart power supply also be causing reported long term recording problems? If the hard drive is allowed to cycle on and off by the software, the available power curve would always exceed demand while recording, whereas if the hard drive were forced to stay spinning, eventually the demand over 600 ma. would consume what ever currently available battery charge existed when the recording started. Since that would be a function of what batteries were installed, their condition, and percentage of charge when the long recording started, time to failure would be certain but unpredictable. Reported symptoms and this explanation seem to match. Thoughts? John Lovelearn Received on 2003-12-08 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
