I'm debating whether I want to bother upgrading this new 20Gb HD...only because it is so easy and fast to move files from a PC archive HD. 20GB's seems like so many songs...especially since I used 6GB model happily for 2 years. I do want to find 4 of those those 2300 mah batteries though. ----- Original Message ----- From: "TP Diffenbach" <rockbox_at_diffenbach.org> To: <rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se> Sent: Wednesday, December 10, 2003 4:29 PM Subject: Archos Total Cost of Ownership > 55 weeks ago, I bought my Archos FMR for $270 > In April, I replaced the hard drive with a 60GB for another $170 > Today, I sent it to NewMp3Technology to have a short fixed for $110 > > That's a total cost of ownership so far of $550. > > A 40GB "3rd generation" iPod costs $499. > > Other than the fact that I love knowing I can hack on Rockbox, was getting > the Archos worth it? > > --Tom > Received on 2003-12-10 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
