Check out <muth.cc/jukebox.avi> (417k) That is my JBR15. One time I went to the backlight duration menu and switched between on and 1s, and sometime it would fade after one second, and other times it would just go off. There is some thermal variation to the fade speed. I was on a road trip one time and if was very cool in the car. Maybe 18.5C / 65F. The display took around 30 seconds to fully dim. I know this because I was looking at the counter on the WPS. This happens with the original Archos firmware, Rockbox on disk, and now Rockbox in flash. -Chris On 12/18/03 at 10:23 AM Mark Bright wrote: >I remember that this has been mentioned in the past, but do not think >there was a conclusion. > >I currently have a FMR (Flashed), although I have seem the same thing >before flashing, and on my previous machine: A Recorder 20 (both flashed >and non-flashed). > >When the display lights up, either at the end of a track, or in response >to a button press, it *Normally* switches off after the time out period. >Sometimes however it just slowly fades. > >I can find no factors to cause it to do one or the other (Switch off or >Fade), but I have noticed that if it is going to fade, the display goes >a little BRIGHTER before starting to fade. > >Anyone else get this, or know a way to replicate it? > >Mark Received on 2003-12-18 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
