Well, maybe I should have mentioned that I am performing this on a flashed
FMR from 16.12.03. It doesn't even have to be a folder. So, no, it doesn't
have anything got to do with folders or me renaming the mp3's directory.

Odd indeed. I can't make it happen on my Recorder. Were you renaming the
folder where the currently playing file is?
