You should not plug it via USB though, but directly into a laptop or other PCs with interfaces compatible with small sized HDs. If the disk proves still to be functionning then you would avoid spending $105 ;) Regards, Laurent On Sun, 28 Dec 2003 03:48:21 -0500, "Frank Incensed" <frankincensed_at_hotmail.com> wrote: > > sorry the link didnt print out for this h.d > http://www.saveateagle.com/ibmtravdsja2.html > Im not much of a techie and want to get the right drive > > >From: "Frank Incensed" <frankincensed_at_hotmail.com> > >Reply-To: rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se > >To: rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se > >Subject: Re: HD register error-still wont work > >Date: Sun, 28 Dec 2003 03:23:44 -0500 > > > > > >Any suggestions for replacement h.d's- I was considering this one for > >$105.00 > > > >>From: "Frank Incensed" <frankincensed_at_hotmail.com> > >>Reply-To: rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se > >>To: rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se > >>Subject: Re: HD register error-still wont work > >>Date: Sun, 28 Dec 2003 02:28:01 -0500 > >> > >> > >> > >>I tried to connect via the usb, but it wont do it since the drive wont > >>spin up > >>>From: BlueChip <cs_bluechip_at_webtribe.net> > >>>Reply-To: rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se > >>>To: rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se > >>>Subject: Re: HD register error-still wont work > >>>Date: Sun, 28 Dec 2003 07:10:12 +0000 > >>> > >>>my next hit would be to plug the hdd into a pc? > >>> > >>>>Well I got some new batteries, but alas I still get the msg. > >>>> > >>>>HD register error > >>>>SC1 (85) 227 > >>>>SN1 (170) 0 > >>>>SC2 (170) 18 > >>>>SN2 (85) 211 > >>>> > >>>>The unit is under a year old & still under warrenty.
