Especially changes on the display induce noise. Thus - although it is a hardware problem - there is some limited software control over it. We might want to add a function to freeze the screen while recording some day. But that doesn't make the analog input good. Still other things generate noise on it. And keep in mind that the MAS (the recording chip) has a shelf filter > 15kHz. For serious recordings you'd want to AD convert externally and record via spdif. That gives good results.
