It really is a hardware issue. Especially changes on the display induce
noise. Thus - although it is a hardware problem - there is some limited
software control over it. We might want to add a function to freeze the
screen while recording some day.
But that doesn't make the analog input good. Still other things generate
noise on it. And keep in mind that the MAS (the recording chip) has a shelf
filter > 15kHz. For serious recordings you'd want to AD convert externally
and record via spdif. That gives good results.
