Unfortunately he never provided us with a good patch, so his work was never incorporated. Besides, I think the general agreement is that we should use horizontal sliders for sound setting values, not vertical ones. > - this patch included a remade key binding that was way more efficient > than the current one 1. That is of course very subjective. 2. We already have lots of ideas, work and discussion on how to make the keymapping, and while Joaquim's patch brought some interesting approaches I personally don't like most of it. > (basically f1 sound menu, f2 menu, f3 wps, on browser, off stop). Why can't we exit the menu while pressing ONCE on ON ? If we just agree on having one key to exit a level with, and another key to exit the menu with, then we can indeed do it. > The basic idea is that we have enought keys to make thing simple, so why > should we keep them so complex ;) There are a few more "basic ideas" than just that: 1. We need to come up with a system many (most?) people like and that fits how we want Rockbox to expand. 2. Someone's gotta do the code. -- Daniel Stenberg -- http://rockbox.haxx.se/ -- http://daniel.haxx.se/Received on 2004-01-12 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
