Ah, the good old Joaquim patch.

Unfortunately he never provided us with a good patch, so his work was never
incorporated. Besides, I think the general agreement is that we should use
horizontal sliders for sound setting values, not vertical ones.

1. That is of course very subjective.

2. We already have lots of ideas, work and discussion on how to make the
   keymapping, and while Joaquim's patch brought some interesting approaches
   I personally don't like most of it.

That's a concept I personally have problems with.

If we just agree on having one key to exit a level with, and another key to
exit the menu with, then we can indeed do it.

There are a few more "basic ideas" than just that:

1. We need to come up with a system many (most?) people like and that fits how
   we want Rockbox to expand.

2. Someone's gotta do the code.
