The idea would not to intergate his patch, which I think old now and
would be pain full to integrate, but we could however intergrates some
ideas out of it.

It is ;), but believe me, I used this interface for weeks, then came
back to the original rockbox. This has been painfull ;)

Why ? Do you prefer to first exit a menu and then press ON to go from
the browser to the wps ? than just Pressing F3 once to reach the wps ?
On my side I have problem with the concept of the ON Button switching
