Sounds like a battery problem. My guess is that it's not the batteries themselves, but either the contacts or a cold solder joint inside the unit. If you are skilled with a soldering iron (or have the nerve to try something new), you could check it out yourself. If you do manage to get it apart, what I did was to bend the battery terminals slightly ahead, so that when the battery slides in, it makes better contact. I would also check around the battery charging circuitry to see if any cold solder joints or blobs are in there. Of course, if its under warranty, best to send it back ;-) > http://store.l-f-l.com/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi?rrc=N&pg=prod&ref=300211-BAT > <http://store.l-f-l.com/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi?rrc=N&pg=prod&ref=300211-BAT> (found > this link while visiting the ipodsdirtysecret.com site). Wow, thanks for the link! That does look like the exact same battery I found in my FMR. But it says 2800mAhr, and mine was 2200.... Hmmm, when I do go back in there for the 80gB harddrive upgrade, I am going to upgrade to these ones.
