It is for home products only. car radios use a protocol called unilink which needs 2 or 3 pins: - a clock - a bidir data - a reset signal (optional?) http://www.mictronics.de/unilink_resource.php might still be possible to connect through the line in connector (for the player) bit period is 20us. dont know if the software can manage it. The serial clock 1 in the archos is used for I2C isn't it? one other solution is to have a microcontroller interfacing: only low level byte conversion from synchronous to remote pin. There should be no additional component around the pic (except power supply and maybe a quartz) There is a gpl design on the net doing the interface: http://gnunilink.sourceforge.net/ Too bad, I found a sony head changer at 105 euros. If someone is interrested in other changer protocols: http://www.mictronics.de/?page=cdc_proto blaupunkt uses a simple async full duplex serial commuication. still needs another pin. --- bio man <jobarjo78_at_yahoo.fr> a écrit : > > A general thing: most CD changer protocols require > > more than one line for > > their communication... > > s-link is simply direct compatible... > 5v open drain bidir pulses. > > http://www.undeadscientist.com/slink/index.html > > > > > > > Yahoo!
