Voice synthesis seems impossible to do in rock box.
however, it may be possible to store prerecorded and mp3 compressed sounds
somewhere on the disk or in the memory.
I still have no experience in rockbox hacking, but I think it would need
consequent changes in rock box architecture.
Maybe because the user interface thread is independant of the music playing
Maybe the experts could tell...
