Subject: Chinese Language Support

Chinese Language Support

Rockbox is 8-bit clean, so it has the basic
requirement for supporting non-Unicode Chinese
encodings such as Big5 or GB.

With regard to font size, the trick is to turn the
that area of memory into a font cache.

I was able to patch Rockbox 1.4 to display Chinese id3
tags (the font file is 966k), then I got busy with
other things.

A couple of other guys have just started looking at
patching V2.
