Everything you have on there will be left intact. You will just have a
few hundred kBytes of additional rockbox files, which will coexist
happily with the current inhabitants. You can even run the original
Archos firmware if you so choose. You may want to read a bit of the
manual before continuing if you have lots of questions, but installing
rockbox is perfectly 'safe'.
