Date: Thu, 4 Mar 2004 19:50:27 -0600 Glenn, with all due respect for a terrible affliction that would take away someone's sight, which so many of us take for granted - products for the blind, like most minority groups of population are expensive mostly because the relative demand of the group is insufficient to command low prices when compared to the R&D plus production costs of the producers of the goods. I'm not saying it's right, but its pretty basic economics. I didn't mean to insult you by saying that I consider $300 a lot for an mp3 device. I was merely laying out my "indifference curve" for mp3 players.
