This jumper setting will allow a computer to boot a drive as a master but who knows how the slave setting will work in the Archos. I've looked at the docs for the drive and they indicate that no jumpers means it's a master. The drive works fine in an external enclosure, but I guess I won't be able to use it in my recorder... Bummer.
