What's wrong with 0-127?
We're all geeks anyway...

Advantages:
No rounding error
All values accessible
No "percent of what" head-scratching
Educates the not-yet-geeks

Or, make 112=12dB, 100=0dB, 0=14dB, -14=0dB
Beat that, Tap-heads :^)

However, the 0..127 representing -114..+12dB puzzles me. Guess I must have
missed a lesson in 1st grade...

Anyway, the more options, the more satisfied geeks. Me included.
