RE: Sound quality test

I am not a true audiophile, but can hear a difference between Archos and
Rockbox...

The closest I can get is LL 0.82 LR 0.19
I also need to but about 10% bass boost (started with all settings flat)

Not an exact match, but closer...

On a direct A-B comparison, I prefer the Archos sound, but both sound "Good
Enough" (tm) when out and about to my humble ears...

|Hey all!
|
|There is a discussion going on about the sound quality being
|worse with Rockbox than with the original firmware. Some
|people claim that the Rockbox stereo separation is "too wide,
|with too little punch".
|
|I want you audiophiles to try to find the combination that
|gives you the "best" sound. Also try to find the combination
|that sounds like the original firmware.
|
|Thanks,
|
|Linus
