I would say it's a good idea to defrag before.
Copying font fragment your disk more than it is already, but the files will
fill the "gaps". Therefore it will take longer to defrag you disk.

Just a small question:

Is it a good idea to defragment the archos after putting a big ammount of
files on it?

And, the win 2000 defrag utility is a good tool to use? I tryed It, but I
didn't see any speed changes or better performance.
