The 2.3 TCON frame is supposed to have a genre number in parenthesis,
followed by an optional string. The 2.4 TCON frame is a string only, or
rather, a list of strings, without parentheses.

Rockbox doesn't read the v1 tag if there is a v2 tag.

It's just that we don't try to bend over backwards just to support all
the oddities of the taggers out there. And the TCON frame is one of the
worst ones, since it has changed the format for every version of the V2
spec.
