Subject: Running USB while recording

Running USB while recording

Here is a question for those in the know: Is there any risk of
losing audio if I run USB and transfer file while recording?

The main reason I bought a Recorder version of the Rockbox in
the first place was the fact that incoming email, loading
programs, etc. while recording using a soundcard on my PC would
occasionally result in data loss while recording. Having a
dedicated system makes it safe to use my PC while I'm dubbing.
:-)

But now I'm wondering if it would be safe to be uploading one
file while I'm recording the next. It seems to me that would
depend on the firmware, and how well it assigns priorities, to
always give enough priority to "catch" the incoming analog audio
data, even while transferring data on the USB.

Can someone assure me that it is OK?
