I do appreciate someone providing the manual in Text, but why would the PDF format be preferred by anyone in the first place?Glenn ----- Original Message ----- From: "Aman Singer" <aman_at_asinger.net> To: "'Rockbox development'" <rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se> Sent: Wednesday, March 31, 2004 9:02 PM Subject: Contributing to the manual? Hi, all. I have, in the past few days, sent out a few messages to a list of blind people, attempting to explain the new voice UI functionality in Rockbox and responding to questions on how to use it. Considering that I'm personally benefiting from this quite a bit, I'd like to contribute to it in some way, and am wondering if I could attempt to write a voice UI section for the manual, if such a section is envisioned, and if the voice UI is to be included in the next stable release? The reason I ask this is that there may well be people working on this already, or people with more expertise in writing manuals may be assigned to write the whole manual. I'm afraid the contributing documents only put forward contribution conventions for source, and not for manuals/documentation. What are the conventions, and who should one contact, for contributions to the manual?
