Hi, Rocker.
This may well be a Jaws problem, not an XP one. Jaws has certain
difficulties clicking in that insert+f11 menu to access the system tray. On
my system, it's the firewall that can't be clicked. Everything else seems to
work well. Anyhow, the way I'd get around it is to minimize everything
(windows+m), tab to the system tray (three times), arrow around with left
and right till you hear safely remove hardware (you can also hit s until you
do), hit enter, and stop the hardware in the usual way (click stop, then
OK). Don't bother with the insert+f11 menu, as it often doesn't work.

Subject: Safely remove hardware device

Hello rock boxers,

I know this topic has been touched on before but I am having trouble with
the S. r. Hardware. When I go to the sys tray in Windows XP and choose the
SRH item it does not appear on my desktop. Any other option loads from the
sys tray just fine. Any ideas as to how I can fix this? Do I even need to
with XP Pro or can I just unplug the USB directly? I am getting tired of
shutting down the PC just to protect my FMR.

Cheers...rocker
