That's fairly old, if you go for the voice features. Get a current one, no
older than yesterday.
Same goes for the voice file.

Then the "archos.mod" is somehow not OK. This file alone should give you a
"Rockbox" reading on the display while booting. The ".rockbox" folder comes
into play later.
Check if the file is really the one you want. There might have been one
before, from Archos, maybe it didn't got overwritten?
