As far as I can tell, the only thing apev2 has going for it is that it's
what mpc files use. Since I've never used one of these in my life, never
even seen one in fact, and can't find any useful information on them, I
also have to ask the same question.
I suspect the best support that apev2 is going to get would be a 3rd
party plug-in, once the plug-in system for files gets perfected.
