That's not my decision to make; and it still has the annoying buglet with
win98, that is way way way beyond me to fix (well, at least without just
moving the bug over to NT/XP instead) ...I think it's gonna take a real
cygwin guru to solve it cleanly :(

So in the mean time, I just try to remember to mention it every
now-and-then. afaic it's small enough to email to the few who want it.
