> Hi, Looking around, I saw a IBM hitachi 80 gb 4200 rpm hdd with 8 mb buffer. Is it possible somehow to exploit the 8 mb buffer for the archos? if so, we would have a unit with 10 mb without the 8mb mod!
The Toshiba GAX Series has 16 MB Cache, too. (But 5400 RPM and is very
hot and aloud :-( )
THe only question is, would the drive spin up when it was idle and
become a new request if the Cache contain the data?
