ack! Computer no longer assigns my jukebox player a drive letter!

Hi all,

I sorry to bring this problem here, as this isn't a general Archos
support forum, but I'm at a loss.

When I plug my usb archos jukebox 6000 player into either my laptop or
my desktop - both running xp - the usual system tray icons appear, and
all seems fine. The problem is that nothing ever appears in my computer
about a new drive, and when i hover the mouse over the system tray icon,
where usually it will say something of the form "Drive (E:)", instead it
says "Drive ()".

Everything looks fine/normal in device manager, and i haven't received
any errors anywhere else. I've used the unit with both of my computers
for a very long time now, and have never seen this problem.

Anyone got any ideas what's wrong?

(I wouldn't be surprised in the least if it were something absurdly
simple)

Thanks for your patience, and any advice,

cdj
