Date: Tue, 20 Apr 2004 09:55:15 +0200 I've had this problem when I used CD emulators, they sometimes mounted the files over a drive letter previously used by the jukebox. Once unloaded, the jukebox mounted fine. Try to look in the "disk managment tool" (under administrative tools->comuuter managment). The names may be inacurate, my winXP is in french ;) Also, try to use both rockbox and original firmware to connect, just in case... Good luck Nicolas -----Message d'origine----- De : cdj [mailto:jonesc5_at_cc.wwu.edu] Envoyé : mardi 20 avril 2004 07:49 À : rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se Objet : ack! Computer no longer assigns my jukebox player a drive letter! Hi all, I sorry to bring this problem here, as this isn't a general Archos support forum, but I'm at a loss. When I plug my usb archos jukebox 6000 player into either my laptop or my desktop - both running xp - the usual system tray icons appear, and all seems fine. The problem is that nothing ever appears in my computer about a new drive, and when i hover the mouse over the system tray icon, where usually it will say something of the form "Drive (E:)", instead it says "Drive ()". Everything looks fine/normal in device manager, and i haven't received any errors anywhere else. I've used the unit with both of my computers for a very long time now, and have never seen this problem. Anyone got any ideas what's wrong? (I wouldn't be surprised in the least if it were something absurdly simple) Thanks for your patience, and any advice, cdj _______________________________________________ http://cool.haxx.se/mailman/listinfo/rockbox _______________________________________________ http://cool.haxx.se/mailman/listinfo/rockbox Received on 2004-04-20 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
