Hi Jörg,

I doubt this is th HDD because it spins up and runs normally with an 2,5"
IDS-adaptor within a normal pc! I tried several other Hdd´s with the box but
with no positive result!

Yes I can (excuse me for not doing so right now), I've made postings in the
past about it as well.
But I doubt this is the problem here. If the Archos software also doesn't
start, I strongly suspect a broken HD. Do you have a way to check this, swap
the drive?
