Date: Sat, 8 May 2004 08:55:34 -0500 I've done this before and it's a pretty long procedure. I've only done it on my pc so I do know you'll apply it to the archos recorder. First you have to record the tape and get it into a wave file. I use Magix's Music Editor software or CD Recorder. Once you have a wave file, you may have to filter out the tape noise, equalize it, and get the amplitude that you want. After all this is done, all you need to do is a wave-mp3 conversion. I looked in the FAQ and did >a search but I couldn't find anything both solutions can be interesting, the jukebox solution can be good if you can't move your computer next to your stereo. but of course, If you record your tapes on the computer, you can change the sound and possibly make it better by filtering the hiss from tapes, etc. ------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Rockbox mailing list Rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se http://cool.haxx.se/mailman/listinfo/rockbox End of Rockbox Digest, Vol 4, Issue 28 ************************************** _______________________________________________ http://cool.haxx.se/mailman/listinfo/rockbox Received on 2004-05-08 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
