(except if you want to auto power on your player) just the gnunilink pic is needed, and the unilink cable (plus some discrete components). The unilink connector is proprietary. What I did is get a cable and cut it. The cable is sold and is quite expensive... I went to a car radio installer and asked if they had damaged unilink cables, and they sold me one cheaper... The base is the gnunilink schematic is on the gnunilink website. You then add the archos connection which is a simple 2 wires cable connecting the grounds and the archos remote pin to one of the pic pin with a pull up resistor. optionally, I will add an auto power on wire to the cable (because my player cannot be flashed yet, and I would like it to start automatically) optionally, I added a DC power control because my car does not have the intermitant power. Note that this DC power can be connected to the intermitant power (through a voltage regulator) please visit my web site for more info : http://sophana.free.fr/unilink.html feel free to ask if you have problems.
