Date: Thu, 3 Jun 2004 04:29:27 -0400 I purchased the Mic available on Archos's web site. I must say I'm quite happy with it, it sound quite good . My only complain is that I use an extra amplifier to work with the JBR, I mean that you have a cable and a little box containing a LR03 battery where you actually plug the jack of the mic itself. So this amplifier makes the mic take more space if you put it in the very little pocket of your JBR's pouch. I purchased also a Sony Microphone which is amplified and is very little, but unfortunatly it delivers a too low power to record correctly with the JBR. So basically, unless someone can recommand a specific stereo mic model which is tinyer than the one sold by Archos , I will stick with this one. I've been using the built-in mic which, for my purposes, works pretty well but I'd like to boost the quality of the recordings. I'm assuming an external mic would help. Is the mic that Archos sells worth the money? Are there any other recommendations for a better mic? I know I need a certain type of mic (as you can tell I know very little about this) and I'd be willing to pay a little bit more for a better value than what Archos offers. Thanks. _______________________________________________ http://cool.haxx.se/mailman/listinfo/rockbox -------------------------------------------------------------------- mail2web - Check your email from the web at http://mail2web.com/ . _______________________________________________ http://cool.haxx.se/mailman/listinfo/rockbox Received on 2004-06-03 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
