Date: Thu, 10 Jun 2004 11:57:19 +0100 Hi peeps, Meanwhile, on a brighter note, I would like to thank the many people who have come back to me with feedback on the new Enhanced Audio Controls. *** I have been amazed to find the most popular feature has been the AVC 20mS option, I personally find it quite intrusive on the quality of my music, but hey, that's what makes us all unique :) *** The new Bass Boost controls are now well documented in the new version of the manual uploaded TODAY :) ...along with other lesser updates to the manual. Aside of installation instructions (which are going to change one way or another) the manual is complete in that "beta" type of way ...so all comments, grammar correction etc. most welcomed :) You will find the manual here http://homepage.ntlworld.com/cyborgsystems/CS_Main/RockBox/Plugins/Audio_3587/v2/Audio_3587.txt or navigate from here: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/cyborgsystems *** There is this one weird issue with one particular Jukebox FM locking up, and my V1 is perfect. So if anybody else can create this lock-up on their FM please contact me, either directly or via this list. I can't imagine what I could be doing. OH! One thought that I have not tried ...are you using the Text or Icon version. *** Okay, I have a major apology to make ...Load settings just plain doesn't work! Sorry ...it saves just fine, but it will not load them again later. So any setups you have made are still good, but you will have to wait for the next version before you can actually use them - errrr, whoops, sorry *** ON+F1 help works just fine in the simulator, but I have always found the keyboard handling quite fiddly to get my head round and unfortunately unless you press ON and F1 together and VERY quickly, my code picks up the key release and immediately clears the help. Well, it says nothing that isn't in the manual, but this one is already fixed and just waiting to be compiled *** While I'm here ...a tad off topic, but suitable... Since Othelo v1.4 has been removed from Rockbox I have terminated support for it. I will only support v2 henceforth. If anybody would like to take a copy of that code for some historical reason please go to the plugins directory and take it before I erase it forever. The previous version of Audio_3587 will remain because it may be of interest to anyone who wishes to try and reintroduce font support with scrolling options and Rockbox pointer support. But be warned memory is tighter than a ducks arse in water ...I think my last big optimisation binge left me with a couple hundred bytes of codespace left.
