RE: I'm really not sure what recorder I've got here.

Hi.
Don't worry about the question, I asked the same when I ordered a
recorder V1 and got a recorder V2. I didn't even know which jack was which,
and was expecting something I certainly didn't get <g>.
You have either the FM recorder or the recorder V2. Both work with
Rockbox and you've described one of the units. Were I you, I'd download the
daily build for the FM recorder and try it out. I don't know how to tell
whether you have an FM recorder or a recorder V2, as these units are in the
same casing, but the FM recorder build seems to work on both of them (I
tried it on my V2 and it worked well, but gave me no radio, since my V2
doesn't have a radio). You also seem to be under the impression that you
bought an FM recorder, and there's only one kind of FM recorder. There is no
FM recorder with the same form as the original recorder.

Sorry folks, but I'm totally blind and on my own, so this is going to
seem quite dumb.

The recorder I've got is smaller than the recorder jukebox that I'm
used to, and the rubber corners can't be removed, there are screws
through the corners of them. The controls are slightly flatter, and
what I suppose must be the on/off buttons are in a different place
relative to each other and on the facia of the unit. The USB port is
smaller too.

Now for my confusion. I thought the FM recorder was the same as the
jukebox recorder V1, I didn't realise that there was an FM recorder
version of what I initially thought was the V2, and it's not listed as
one of the players that will support rockbox. I'm now somewhat
worried that what I've got won't work with rockbox, thus making it
unusable to me.

Anyone any idea from what I've said?

Thanks,

Rob
