Aman,

Where can I find documentation on what is involved in creating a .voice file
with a SAPI 5 engine. If it isn't too difficult, I would love to create an
english.voice file using the NeoSpeech engine which in my opinion sounds
even better than AT&T. Is it simply a matter of running a script on some
sort of lang.txt file?

        Are the MS redistributable UK voices SAPI 4 or SAPI 5? Voices that
will show up in the speech applet are SAPI 5 only. I'm not sure if
mp3clipgen can be made to use SAPI 4 voices (any comment, Brian?), and I
don't know if any one has released anything that will do the scanning of the
directory tree as well as speak through SAPI 4, though there are files that
will allow the making of language.voice files using SAPI 4 voices.

I'm a little confused by this. I tried installing the MS
redistributable UK english voice, and the install ran without error but
it didn't show up in the Speech control panel. Any idea what else needs
doing?
