The good news is that Linus has already affected the first change to make
our mutual dream a reality - it might be the smallest one, but it is by far
and away the most important one!
And Bagder has been involved in serious discussions about another (speech.)
So things are already moving :)
I can perceive one thing that will likely stop this plugin from being the
default sound menu ...no font support ...Linus requested that in the early
days, and in fact, the "previous release" actually has the code in place to
support fonts and little arrow-head menu pointers - but my personal
requirement was to get ALL "main" functions on one page, and that requires
an undersized font. I tried and tried to get help making the font because
afaict it can only be done with (a) a full cygwin or (b) a linux install,
neither of which I have - perhaps when the time comes that this is the only
thing standing between Audio_3587 and Rockbox someone will leap at the
chance ...but in the mean time...
It is gratitude like yours that makes it ALL worth while - Thank You for
your enthusiastic support :)
I hope I can produce some equally impressive features in the future
also. My head is bursting with so many ideas I don't know what to do
first... Stereo MP3 Mixing; Karaoke Machine; Graphics library for games;
more games; Rockbox Scripting Language; etc.
