Thanks, I didn't get that much by the end, about 4 hours, which is why
I replaced the batteries, I guessed they weren't taking a full charge.
Unusually they seemed to be fully charged when I got them, the battery
indicator was showing 100% anyway.

I've left the box on since yesterday night anyway, so they should be
genuinely at 100% now anyway.

How much battery life did you have with old 1500mAh ?
About 10h, so with 2300mAh, you'll get 2300*10/1500 = more than 15h
