The digital I/O of the JBR V1 is a jack
Tip (right) : Output
Ring (left) : Input
Base (mass) : (mass)

Maybe your DAT have a RCA electrical digital output too. So you can use
a RCA-Jack cable, you put the jack in the Archos and the white (or
black) RCA at the electrical digital output of your DAT (this works with
DVD players).
