Rockbox mail archiveSubject: Directories and voiceDirectories and voice
From: Stephe Mandel <stephe_at_wubios.wustl.edu>
Date: Tue, 22 Jun 2004 11:04:31 -0500 I just came back from a cross-country trip with my JB20 V2 which performed flawlessly. I especially want to thank those developers responsible for adding voice for directory names. By creating directories for artists and albums I was able to keep my eyes on the road and still locate the music I wanted to listen to. Something quite odd came up regarding a directory name and I am very interested in an explanation. I created a directory for The Doors called "L A Woman," converted the cd's contents to mp3's and placed the music in the directory. I ran the VBS script. When I scrolled down to the folder I expected to hear "L A Woman" spoken but instead I heard "Los Angeles Woman." How the heck did the script do that? How did it manage to interpret L A as Los Angeles? thankful and baffled, Stephe The materials contained in this e-mail are private and confidential and are the property of the sender.
