Thank you _very_ much for your test; it seems that the combined
optimization of reading and writing (or some of the numerous
other changes to the ata driver) make fast disk access in Rockbox
now working for you too.

If you dare, you could actually use the fast variant for a few
days and check from time to time if errors develop. If you want
to do this:

- If your box is not flashed: After installing the test build,
delete all .ajz files in the root except ajbrec-fast.ajz, then
  rename this to ajbrec.ajz

- If your box is flashed: There is an additional package
  available at

  http://arnold-j.bei.t-online.de/Rockbox/rockbox-recorder-ucls.zip

containing two .ucl files. fast.ucl is what you want. Have an
.ucl of the ordinary build at hand in case fast.ucl gives
  problems.

If you want to go even further, you could check a re-build of
the 1-Feb-2004 daily build. Beware - this _will_ most likely give
you file system errors. Find it at
