I didn't think TalkBox is part of the official release (yet?) Anyway, to
clarify, what I said about the then-current RockBox goes. However, if there
is a valid technical problem that would make implementing the talking part
time consuming and significantly delay the release of the port then it may be
excluded. If that problem arises, we'll discuss it here on the list and I'll
make the final determination. The purpose of discussing it on the list as
opposed in direct mail with me is that I expect the discussion to bring forth
ideas and potential solutions from others.

With any questions or ambiguities like this, my main and perhaps sole
motivation is to get a Rockbox (like) port out there so people who want the
RockBox experience don't have to scrounge for obsolete hardware. My goal is
to get it like it used to be where one could walk into Circuit City or
whatever, buy an off-the-shelf jukebox, install RockBox and enjoy without
hassles. Any decision I make will be to further that goal.

BTW, Iriver has put most of the ebook features I requested in their latest
firmware update for the H100 series. They call it the "study mode". A good
