Date: Mon, 5 Jul 2004 22:00:39 -0400 I have never seen the px200s so can't be specific about those. There have been some comparisons of both on www.headwize.com And www.headphone.com They do have a different sound as the px200s are closed and the px100s are open phones. Nice present though! WARNING Excellent Thanks Rick, sounds like I got a good present!. WARNING Rob, Yes, they fold, and they come in a plastic case. The padded driver enclosures swivel at a 90 degree angle, and the headband has a joint on either side above each ear piece where they fold. After being folded properly, they fit in the plastic case and the cord wraps around the edge of the case. Once everything is done properly, the case closes. At first it is a bit tricky figuring out exactly how it all fits together, but once you do it a time or 2 it's easy and they take up very little room. WARNING Oh Wow Rick, how do you mean re folding?? the 200's are exactly the same design with a different set of ear-pieces apparently. Does the headband fold? suppose they don't come with a case, though the cord always gets tangled in boxes!. My brother ordered them for me, I heard his 100's, and he said that he'd found a closed back version, so he bought them for me for my birthday. he is nice really, even though his nickname's the Mule, (Asimov fans will get that one. it came about first because we reckoned his farts would destroy a planet!, and second because his face is on upside down!.. WARNING Yes, I agree. I now have both the PortaPros and the Sennheiser PX100 and have been able to compare them. They both sound great for their price range, but I feel the PX100s sound better, at least to me. They have more detail in the highs, but the bass is still deep and satisfying. Generally, they have a more balanced sound than the PortaPros and they fold up like a pair of glasses sort of.
