I may be wrong, and hopefully someone will reply if I am, but it seems to me
that lithium batteries do better by not being allowed to run down; whereas
nickel cadmium batteries should be totally drained before recharging for
best longevity.
I believe that the Archos units with the internal battery pack is a lithium
battery.

Subject: Batteries vs. Adapter

I have a JBR V2 and I had a question regarding power consumption and
battery wear.

Is it better to charge up the batteries and drain them by playing the
JBR all day, or is it better to have the adapter plugged in all day and
hardly use the batteries at all

I have a situation where I can either take the adapter to work and
listen all day while plugged in, or I can charge my batteries at night
and drain them all day while at work.

My gut reaction tells me to use the electricity at work to do the
charging and give the batteries an easy life.

THis is more of a power consumption question, but is it good to use the
batteries a lot or do they last longer when they are seldom used.
