The batteries are not causing the problem - I tried multiple others
before I opened the recorder.

I assume that either the regulator doesn't get the input voltage or is
damaged itself - again VCC is not present.
My first hope was that there is a "cold soldering point" somewhere that
gave up over time - but was not able to locate any yet.
The power regulator in my recorder seems to be a SP6650EU unit. Will
test if it get's the voltage it needs - but that package is that shitty
small ... ;-) have to find other connection points to measure.
There are two devices on my board (left and right hand to the
microphone) where I am not able to read the part-numbers but they seem
to be one of the circuits directly bonded with the batteries. They are
8-Pin-packages with Pins 5-8 all shortened to one soldering point.
Does anyone know what these are good for and what their part-number is -
just in case they are damaged.
