No, like Jens wrote. The remaining flash space behind the Archos FM software
is 12KB smaller than with V1 recorder. Rockbox does not fit in there without
compressed. And compression forbids direct execution.

We can make it fit for the V2 recorder, which has 4 KB less. Currently,
Rockbox is 1476 bytes too big for the V2 (when Jens checked). But I have an
optimization in mind which would save about 6 KB. So we can get there.

The FM is lacking 8 KB more, so 9668 bytes missing. I won't reach that with
the above.

Funny twist: for .ajz boot, Rockbox must be smaller than 200 kB. Flashed
Rockbox could be a lot larger, thanks to compression. But flashed without
compression has worse constraints.
A mid-term solution (if we like and want ROM execution) is to replace the
Archos image with something smaller: A Rockbox variant which does only
charging, USB enable, and .ajz loading.
